Premiered: January 24, 2021
On: HBO
Starring: Hunter Schafer, Lauren Weedman, Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, John Ales, Pell James & Jayden Marcos
Following Rue’s (Zendaya) special episode, Hunter Schafer stars and co-writes her episode about Jules’ holidays in between Euphoria’s first two seasons.
Jules meets with a therapist (Lauren Weedman) to discuss her feelings and plans for the future. She worries about Rue’s sobriety, especially when looking at the same path she deals with from her mother (Pell James). There’s also still a strong connection to Tyler (Jayden Marcos), who’s her fictional version of Nate (Jacob Elordi).
As with Rue’s episode, there’s so much to be celebrated about the writing and keeping the bulk of the story between Jules and her therapist. It’s a fantastic character study that lets the audience dig deeper into who Jules is just as she realizes new things about herself. Schafer is brilliantly vulnerable and captivates you the entire time.
