Anthony Ramos may have thought he was having his year a few times with Hamilton success in the past, but nothing compares to 2021. Not only was he nominated for a Golden Globe for his lead role in In the Heights, but he also released his stellar second album that proves he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Love and Lies mixes elements of pop with R&B and Latin music to make a distinct sound that is sexy and danceable. The second track, “Lose My Mind” is a lover’s dream and very sexual but is easily his best offering on the album.

Each song has its own way of speaking to a lover, whereas his first album The Good & the Bad was much more about a personal journey.
