Starting right where season one left off, Outer Banks returns with more drama and action than season one.
JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kie (Madison Bailey) and Pope (Jonathan Daviss) believe John B. (Chase Stokes) and Sarah (Madelyn Cline) are dead. The three search for evidence to put Sarah’s father and brother, Ward (Charles Esten) and Rafe (Drew Starkey), away. John B. and Sarah are on the run trying to track down the gold.
The separated storylines for the main five would normally be suicide for a show to do so early in its run, but it works here and increases the tensions.
Esten and Starkey play two of the best villains on television and you’re never sure what they’ll do next, but they will constantly make you angry.
Final say: Higher intensity leads to great results. ★★★★☆
