Two years after their breakup, Arthur leaves his new boyfriend home while completing a dream theater internship in New York. Ben finished his first year of college working on his first novel and dating Mario. However, when Ben and Arthur run into each other, sparks still fly.

As a hopeless romantic who loved seeing Ben and Arthur together in the first novel, seeing them with other people felt like it was going to hurt here. And while it does hurt, Albertalli and Silvera do a fine job of making the new boyfriends great characters that you feel for.
