A boring season that proves style wins over substance, RuPaul’s Drag Race season seven is easy to forget, except for the fact that it introduced us to so many queens that later become iconic.
Violet Chachki kills it on the runway almost every week and brings about looks that seem almost impossible for any human, while Ginger Minj is one of the most talented queens the show has seen. Katya Zomolodchikova and Trixie Mattel find great success after this season’s end, but it’s nice to see their early stages and notice the quirks that we’ve come to love.
RuPaul brings the best with guest judges this year, including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Jordin Sparks. Former regular judges Merle Ginsberg and Santino Rice also come back for an episode each.
Final say: Depends on what you think makes the queen. ★★★☆☆
