Possibly the most controversial season of Drag Race All Stars, the ending of the season felt weak with a tie where one queen more clearly stood on top – while the projected winner was ousted too early.
This season also featured the first time two former All Stars competitors returned to the show. Latrice Royale and Manila Luzon, who had been paired in the first season, came back to compete as individuals. Though they were both able to shine on their own, their friendship was strongly featured and made them still feel like a team.
Luckily the two queens that seemed like they would drag the show’s energy down the quickest – Farrah Moan and Gia Gunn – were quickly ousted and while there was still drama, this group felt the most cohesive thus far.
Final say: The queens falter in their reign. ★★★☆☆
