This must be one of the most “What the F—?!” seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race due to the intensity of drama between contestants, which ends up making it the best season thus far.
Drama starts when Coco Montrese walks into the workroom and sees Alyssa Edwards already there. Montrese famously took the Miss Gay America 2010 crown from the dethroned Edwards. Their beef lasts all season and Montrese nearly wrecks herself trying to outdo Edwards.
Then there’s the clique of “Rolaskatox,” consisting of Roxxxy Andrews, Alaska Thunderfuck and Detox. Andrews and Detox more than Thunderfuck act like they’re above other contestants and aim to take down sleeper-hit (pun-intended) Jinkx Monsoon.
With so much to keep up with over the season, there’s barely a moment to relax and that’s what we want in the show.
Final say: Quite a race. ★★★★★
