What started out as a music video mashup of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II’s “Ten Minutes Ago” from Cinderella and Jason Robert Brown’s “The Next Ten Minutes” from The Last Five Years by Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes two years ago has turned into a full out album with contemporary versions of Rodgers & Hammerstein songs recorded by today’s rising Broadway stars.

Many of the performers cover songs from shows they’ve starred in on Broadway, including Cinderella Tony nominees Osnes and Santino Fontana as well as Tony winner Ali Stroker from Carousel.

The standout reimagining is from The King and I with Jelani Alladin and Matt Doyle taking on the forbidden lovers’ song, “We Kiss in A Shadow.” With a queer twist, the song is given new meaning, and their voices sound beautiful together.
