Known for his roles on The Flash and in Love, Simon, actor Keiynan Lonsdale’s first studio album comments on different social topics and pushes heavily for acceptance across the board.

Lonsdale is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and hits on that right away with “Gay Street Fighter,” which starts with the lyrics, “For anyone who thought they couldn’t be themselves and be the hero too / Your time is now.” It’s a powerful message and his lyrics that follow on the album about sexuality continually shine a spotlight on the strength of the LGBTQ+ community.

He also speaks on the positivity of being black and how that community should be perceived. Being released at the same time of America’s racial injustices, his comments on white perceptions of black people truly resonate.
