Diving into the more gruesome acts that the Saw franchise is known for, Saw III will begin to divide viewers into true fans of the series and those not interested in torture porn.

As John Kramer’s (Tobin Bell) health deteriorates, he brings in Dr. Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) to help keep him alive. John begins to test Amanda (Shawnee Smith) as his replacement as she sets up her first large-scale game with grieving father Jeff (Angus Macfadyen).

There are many stomach-churning scenes in this entry that’ll make you turn away from the screen – two words: pig vat. It starts to take away from the clever trap concepts of the first two films and goes straight into gross torture.

However, this film has more character development than the previous two. It’ll make you care more about the plot and character situations.
