One of the rare situations where the sequel is better than the original, Toy Story 2 introduces beloved new characters and remains a hilarious adventure that’s more exciting than its predecessor.

When Woody’s (Tom Hanks) arm tears, Andy (John Morris) can’t take him to cowboy camp. Through a series of events, Woody ends up being stolen by Al (Wayne Knight) who uses him to complete his collection of Woody’s Roundup characters. Buzz (Tim Allen) leads a mission to rescue Woody.

The addition of Jessie (Joan Cusack) and Bullseye to the team is welcome and Cusack gives her all in the vocal performance. The action that surrounds these characters ranges from emotionally sentimental to thrilling anxiety.

Like the original film, this sequel set the standard for future Pixar films in terms of storytelling and animation.
