When the Jonas Brothers released their fourth album in 2009 and subsequently split in 2013, their fans were left in a state of shock and despair. In Chasing Happiness, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas reflect on their rise to fame and what led them to the breakup.
The three brothers allow themselves to hash out bitter emotions, which allows for conversation and ultimately makes them stronger together. It’s a healthy type of therapy as they come back together not just as a band, but as a family in order to create their long awaited fifth album Happiness Begins.
It’s interesting to watch their rise to fame. They speak about discovering Nick’s diabetes and how the Disney Channel continually tried to shape an image of them that wasn’t genuine.
Final say: It’s been a long road, but they’ve grown. ★★★★★
