With a fun premise and jokes that will make both adults and children laugh, The Secret Life of Pets is entertaining for the whole family.

Jack Russell Terrier Max (Louis C.K.) is content in his life with his human soulmate-owner Katie (Ellie Kemper). When she brings home a large Newfoundland mix named Duke (Eric Stonestreet), Max needs to fight to keep his place as Katie’s love.

The voice cast is crazy talented and act well enough that you won’t be picturing the actual actor the whole time. Jenny Slate as a Pomeranian named Gidget and Kevin Hart as a rabbit named Snowball are among the most entertaining and will constantly have you laughing.

While the ending is pretty predictable from the start, the story is fast-paced and full of adventure.

Final say: A short, but amusing story everyone will enjoy. ★★★★☆
