Full of real-life situations and humor, How to Be Single is the perfect comedy for the modern generation of daters.
When Alice (Dakota Johnson) dumps her college boyfriend Josh (Nicholas Braun) as the enter the real world, she doesn’t realize what life without him would be. She has her coworker Robin (Rebel Wilson) and sister Meg (Leslie Mann) to help steer her as they all navigate modern love.
While it has its flaws, there’s something that feels so real about the characters in this film. Yes, they’re navigating love and relationships, but they’re also navigating work, independence and pregnancy, among other things.
Johnson, Wilson and Mann all master their comedic skills. They all have different styles, which complements each other especially with Wilson’s big energy and Johnson’s more reserved humor.
Final say: A great how-to guide. ★★★★★
