After a break from the original films and time to develop technology to create frighteningly real CGI dinosaurs, Jurassic World is the best film since the original Jurassic Park.
Using technology that helped build Jurassic Park, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) successfully manages the operations of Jurassic World. Claire is busy preparing for the reveal of a new genetically engineered dinosaur, but recruits Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) when all does not go as planned.
This film definitely has some negatives, like the infamous scene of Claire outrunning a T-Rex in high heels, but overall the storyline and characters are as enthralling as the first. Both Howard and Pratt are extremely likable leads.
We get to view old favorite dinosaurs – the T-Rex and velociraptors – in a new light, while the new Indominus rex is terrifying.
Final say: A thrill for audiences. ★★★★☆
