Released: August 5, 2016
By: Naomi Scott
On her second EP, Naomi Scott debuts music that takes a step back from her first release. While sometimes a good thing for artists, this is an unfortunate move for Scott, who needed to take that step forward.
Many of the songs here feel lyrically empty compared to the strength of Invisible Division. She repeats many sentences and spends more time letting you feel the music than focusing on the story being told.
Scott also loses the strength of her vocals. A talented singer, there are many instances where you can hear the power behind her sweet voice, but she never lets that fully come out. To continue growing her fan base, she needs to push herself further.
It’s a nice listen, but ultimately forgetful.
Final say: A shame that Scott lost her footing. ★★☆☆☆
