It seems as if Hollywood does not want us to play any of our childhood games, the titular game here is just as sadistic in the plot as any of the others.

When new girl Violet (Haley Ramm) joins best friends McKenna (Liana Liberato), Alex (Brianne Tju), Candace (Ajiona Alexus) and Olivia (Peyton List) on Halloween to play Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, her predictions about their deaths start to come true.

Unfortunately, the execution of the interesting storyline is pretty awful. This starts with the cast. While some of the actors are fun to watch, leads like Liberato and Ramm make scenes hard to sit through. Liberato seems not to be present in any scene.

And if you think it’ll get better as it continues, you’ll be sadly mistaken.
