Following a fiery first season, the second season finds the harlots in an all-out war against each other.

As Lydia (Lesley Manville) and Margaret (Samantha Morton) continue to spar against each other, Margaret’s oldest daughter Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay) moves into Lydia’s house as a spy. She enlists the help of Lady Isabella Fitzwilliam (Liv Tyler) who has a secret that Lydia holds against her.

This season continually shocks you in each episode. There are twists you won’t see coming, which keeps the story fresh. The final moments of the season are unbelievable and will leave you gaping at screen.

Like the first season, the showrunners are mostly female and keep the content for the main actresses fresh.
