Split into a two-part season, Faking It comes back just as relevant, funny and awkward as the first.
New secrets are exposed from Amy (Rita Volk), Liam (Gregg Sulkin) and Lauren (Bailey De Young). Meanwhile Karma’s (Katie Stevens) family is dealing with financial issues, as Shane (Michael Willett) finds a new boyfriend (Skyler Maxon) who’s stuck in the closet.
With the reveal of Lauren’s secret, Faking It becomes the television show to feature a main character that is intersex. With the show already dealing with other parts of LGBTQIA spectrum, this only enhances its open and accepting storyline. The character goes through some hardships, but comes out strong.
The writing is so on-point with the different topics faced and will have you laughing through it all even if you shed some tears.
Final say: Beyond fun. ★★★★★
