Running onstage in the West End continually since 1999, Mamma Mia! is now the seventh-longest running show across the pond.

As Sophie (Sanne Den Besten) get closer to her wedding day, she finds her mom Donna’s (Linzi Hateley) diary and invites Sam (Richard Trinder), Bill (Dugald Bruce-Lockhart) and Harry (Alasdair Harvey) to her wedding. Any three of the men could be her father and she wants to figure out who it is before her big day.

Set to the music of ABBA, the musical is full of joy and passion.

Hateley’s voice is a bit nasally at times and doesn’t fit well in the Donna ballads. However, Donna’s friends Rosie (Jo Napthine) and Tanya (Mazz Murray) steal the show. The men are also a sight often being shirtless throughout the show.

Final say: You’ll have the time of your life. ★★★★☆
