There are moments in life that can tear even the closest people apart, and while twins seem to have the closest connection of anyone, these moments can even tear them apart.
Noah and Jude Sweetwine were once as close as can be, but start to become more distant in their teenage years. Both are dealing with personal trials and are trying to figure out ways to push through.
Much of the story deals with the twins still reeling from the loss of their mother Dianna. You get to see two very different versions of grief through the children.
The year is told in points of view from both twins with the early years in Noah’s voice and the later year in Jude’s. It’s sometimes a tough read, but worth the effort.
Final say: Loss comes in many forms. ★★★★☆
