Music: The Fame Monster

Released: November 18, 2009

By: Lady Gaga

Just over a year after the release of her massive debut album, Lady Gaga released a new version with eight new songs preceding the original ones.

Gaga is a vocal master whose range soars. The mixture of new songs on this album shows different types of vocal styles from electronic pop (“Bad Romance”) to piano rock reminiscent of Elton John (“Speechless”).

While Gaga proved to be a force to be reckoned with on The Fame, this EP cements her status as one of the best pop artists of all-time.

She and Beyoncé also bring the heat on their duet, “Telephone.” The women’s voices complement each other well with both their singing and Beyonce’s rapping. This duet is easily the best female duet since Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer’s 1979 hit “No More Tears (Enough is Enough).”

Final say: Monster talent. ★★★★★
