Get the tissues and ice cream ready because this is the ultimate crying album.
There’s no voice out there quite like Adele and this album is on par with her brilliant 2011 release 21. Surprising fans with the October drop of “Hello” was just the start. That ballad is almost five minutes long and there’s no dull moment.
She continues through the album tugging at the heartstrings with songs like “When We Were Young,” but also brings the beauty to upbeat songs like “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” and “Water Under the Bridge.”
Unfortunately, as the album continues, many of the songs start to sound similar. They’re still amazing, but repetitive.
However, there’s no female – or male for that matter – in the industry that can compare to her talent.
Final say: Stripped down vocals bring a beautiful album. ★★★★☆
