Finally! An old scary movie that’s still scary.
On Halloween night 1963, six-year-old Michael Myers stabs his sister to death and is taken to an asylum. Fifteen years later, he escapes and haunts his old street. His target is babysitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis in her film debut), but she puts up quite the fight.
I can’t even tell you how many times this movie made me jump, but Michael Myers was so creepy. He just appears in many scenes when you least expect him to. Something that’s freaky about him compared to other movie killers is that he has no motive against Laurie and her friends.
Curtis shines in the iconic role that would shoot her to stardom and follows in her mom’s footsteps as an ultimate scream queen.
Final say: Creepy all these years later. ★★★★☆
