One of Shonda Rhimes’ staples on ABC’s Thursday night, Scandal has been shocking audiences for six years now.
The show focuses on Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) – Washington, D.C.’s top “fixer.” She handles all of the issues for D.C.’s elite, including President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) whom she is having sleeping with. Over the years, the plot lines have gotten wilder and Pope gets harder to like. But, the supporting characters – especially former First Lady, now President Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) – are what keep the show going.
Even if you get tired of the show, you’ll continue to hate watch it because it’s just that intriguing. Though, I do really long for the days of the first two seasons where each episode had a new client with a new problem.
Final say: Watch, but don’t think too hard about logistics. ★★★☆☆
