Revolutionary Road reunites Titanic actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and Kathy Bates, but if you’re hoping for a less tragic ending, you won’t find it here.

Frank (DiCaprio) and April (Winslet) are married with two kids. Frank is unhappy in his job and April’s acting aspirations have floundered. April comes up with a plan to reinvigorate their lives but gets thwarted by an unexpected pregnancy.

DiCaprio and Winslet are incredible together. From years of knowing each other, they’ve created a strong bond that allows for deep trust. With the intensity of which Frank and April fight, that bond is ever important and allows them to push further than others could.

The film is beautifully created from the costumes to the set, and Thomas Newman’s score makes every scene slightly off-putting.

Final say: DiCaprio and Winslet do tragic love best. ★★★★☆
