It’s hard to know what this album was really meant to do other than promote Finding Neverland. It wasn’t used as a concept album as it was released after the show had started on Broadway and it wasn’t used as a reinvention of the songs after the show found wild popularity (like The Hamilton Mixtape or The Greatest Showman: Reimagined).

This could have been an amazing way to bring new life to the songs, but it feels like the artist names were more important than the product. They’re not matched correctly on songs, and it feels like a letdown.

And if it’s meant to promote the show, then changing the lyrics in almost every song is just going to lead to disappointment when a fan of this music goes to see it onstage.

Final say: Neverland isn’t found here. ★★☆☆☆
