A high energy action film with a strong emotional core, Everything Everywhere All at Once is something you’ve never seen before.
Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh) is a high-strung woman who has little time to deal with her family. When an alternate version of her husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) appears, he tells her that she is the hope to save all the universes from an evil villain, who is their daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu).
There’s so much heart at the center of the film. While it’s a visual spectacle, the message of enjoying what’s around us and seeing the good through the bad will resonate.
Yeoh gives the performance of a lifetime as Evelyn discovers what matters to her. Quan and Hsu both perfectly take on the comedy and drama that surrounds Evelyn’s life.
Final say: It’s the little moments. ★★★★★
