Élite is out of control in season five and while I would find that an issue this far into many other shows, it’s brilliant here. The crazier things get for the students at Las Encinas, the more I want to watch.
When the police start investigating Armando’s (Andrés Velencoso) disappearance, Samuel (Itzan Escamilla) quickly confesses to the crime. Iván (André Lamoglia) becomes a new student at Las Encinas that Patrick (Manu Ríos) quickly falls for, but Iván insists he’s straight and flirts with Ari (Carla Días) instead.
Though Samuel has never been the fan favorite character, he’s one of only two left from season one. It almost feels like the producers don’t know what to do with him anymore and start setting up new favorite Patrick to be the lead going forward instead.
Final say: Insanely fun and sexy. ★★★★☆
