One of the most surprising original horror films of 2022, Barbarian will leave you questioning what you just watched in the most satisfied way.

Tess (Georgina Campbell) and Keith (Bill Skarsgård) run into issues when their Airbnb double books them. Tess gets stuck in the basement and finds a disturbing passageway that leads to fears. AJ (Justin Long) returns to his home to find people are still staying there.

Writer and director Zach Cregger does a brilliant job with misleading the audience and continually changing the narrative. Even in the camerawork, there’s differences in filming as the tensions rise. Every time you think you know what’s happening, a major change occurs.

Campbell is the star of the film and while it’s easy to judge her character’s motives, she completely commits to the craziness.
