Season nine of Drag Race starts with many bangs as Lady Gaga enters the workroom pretending to be a contender (á la Chad Michaels as Cher or Derrick Barry as Britney Spears), the announcement that no one will go home episode one and Ru introducing Season 8’s Cynthia Lee Fontaine as the 14th queen of the season. From this first episode, you can tell it’s going to be a season like no other.
Even by the time we get to the final four (not so spoiler alert!) – Shea Couleé, Peppermint, Trinity “The Tuck” Taylor and Sasha Velour – it’s still anyone’s game. The final queens are immensely strong, and each succeeds in ways that others don’t.
Believe that anything could happen because moment after moment, you’ll be gagging and predictions are hard to make.
Final say: These queens work. ★★★★★
