Despite it being extremely corny and predictable, The Holiday Calendar is one of those perfect romantic comedy holiday films that you’ll want to watch under a blanket with some hot chocolate.
Josh Barton (Quincy Brown) surprises his best friend Abby Sutton (Kat Graham) when he arrives home for the holidays after working as a travel photographer. Abby’s grandpa (Ron Cephas Jones) gives her an advent calendar that begins predicting her future and leads her to a romance with Ty Walker (Ethan Peck).
Graham and Brown have fantastic chemistry and easily play around with each other. At times, it’s hard to tell whether they’re actually acting. It’s clear from the start that their characters are meant to be, though you have to wait through all the roadblocks to get there.
Final say: Full of heart, even if not a strong story. ★★★★☆
