It’s hard to believe 20 years have passed since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – or Sorcerer’s Stone for the Americans – landed in theaters, but to commemorate this milestone, some of the biggest names in the Harry Potter franchise have come together to reflect on its epic decade of creation.
Potterheads better have their tissues ready because this reunion will bring up many emotions. Watching leads Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reunite in the Gryffindor common room is enough to give you the chills. Moments like Robbie Coltrane’s reflection on the future or Tom Felton’s tribute to his late-onscreen mother Helen McCrory are beautifully done.
While there are few things to knock, viewers may wish that this had been even longer or a series, especially when so many more actors could’ve returned.
Final say: The magic never fades. ★★★★★
