A show that not only revolutionized the way Broadway shows are viewed, but also the way American history will forever be remembered, Hamilton is a credit to the brilliance of creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and the entire production team.

Alexander Hamilton (Miranda) quickly rises in ranks to become George Washington’s (Christopher Jackson) right-hand man during the American Revolution. His long-standing feuds with Aaron Burr (Leslie Odom Jr.) and Thomas Jefferson (Daveed Diggs) put him at odds politically.

In line with the hype, this show is perfectly executed. Andy Blankenbuehler’s choreography is dazzling and moves the story along in style. Howell Binkley’s lighting design gives life to the characters. And the casting of people of color to tell a very white historical story could not have been a better or smarter choice.

Final say: It’s not a moment, it’s a movement. ★★★★★
