Unfortunately cancelled after its first season, Run creates a great romantic thriller that’s initially confusing by not explaining what’s happening.
Former lovers Ruby Richardson (Merritt Wever) and Billy Johnson (Domhnall Gleeson) reunite on a train after both texting each other “run.” Both hide secrets – Ruby’s threaten Billy emotionally while Billy’s puts them both in danger.
The pilot episode will either entrance you or turn you away from the show. If you choose to stay, get ready for a wild adventure.
However, the ending is a bit if a letdown as it somewhat wraps things up but leaves the show wide open for a season two that will now never come. There’s still a lot of loose plot holes that you’ll want to know more about.
Final say: A marathon that’ll leave you breathless in good and bad ways. ★★★☆☆
