Produced, written by and starring Daveed Diggs & Rafael Casal, Blindspotting is an intense comedy-drama film that covers the heavy topic in a brilliant way.

Collin (Diggs) is in his last few days of probation after serving a jail sentence. He works for a moving company with his best friend Miles (Casal), who may not be the best influence for him. When he sees a cop (Ethan Embry) kill a civilian, he struggles with the aftermath.

Diggs, who already had a star-making role in Hamilton on Broadway, brings that same power to the big screen. His character development and realizations about his life versus Miles’ are well-developed.

The film’s topic is something that has largely been missing onscreen and is a huge conversation piece when thinking about police brutality against black people.

Final say: See the truth. ★★★★★
