Julie Andrews is easily considered a national treasure in many countries and reading about her time in Hollywood in Home Work is interesting for any fan as it has an equal split between home and work.
When speaking about her time in Hollywood, Andrews is ever the graceful writer when referring to her costars. Learning about her time making classics like Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music is definitely interesting, but it’s even better learning about some of her lesser-known roles. While beloved now, Andrews did not always have a successful career.
Andrews also dives deep into her family life and splitting time between their homes in the US and Gstaad, Switzerland. Her marriage to Blake Edwards had its ups and downs but was true love, nonetheless.
Final say: Comfort of home and little work to read. ★★★★☆
