On the final season of The Path, the stakes are raised with Meyerism taking on a larger platform than ever before. The expansion opens the doors – literally and metaphorically – to more opportunities in the storyline.
Eddie (Aaron Paul) is now the Guardian of the Light and after a viral video, Meyerism gains popularity, which leads him to hire publicist Vera Stephens (Freida Pinto). Though, unbeknownst to Eddie, Vera’s mother Lillith (Sarita Choudhury) was an early Meyerist whom has secrets of her own.
This season really shows off Hugh Dancy’s acting range as Cal begins to accept that he’s a survival of sexual assault from his childhood.
The end of the season wraps up the story well, though a few plot points are left open for what could’ve been a fourth season.
Final say: A good end of the road. ★★★★☆
