Director Tim Burton creates a dark world with wicked humor in this film based on Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Constable Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) is sent by the Burgomaster (Christopher Lee) to investigate a series of decapitations happening in the town of Sleepy Hollow. Town leaders inform him about the infamous Headless Horseman (Christopher Walken & Ray Park) whom they believe is behind the murders.
The already chilling story becomes even more frightening when seeing the actions unfold in live action. The Headless Horseman will give you nightmares in both his human and spirit incarnations.
Costumes, art direction, a cast full of heavy-hitters and fantastic CGI contribute to the brilliance of the film that you’ll want to watch multiple times as you learn of the plot twists.
Final say: Don’t lose your head. ★★★★☆
