Star Wars fans were rejoicing when Disney announced an original live-action television series would be coming to their new streaming service. Creator Jon Favreau doesn’t disappoint in this brilliantly crafted first season.
A bounty hunter known as “The Mandalorian” (Pedro Pascal) is sent on a mission to retrieve a valuable asset. When he becomes attached, he defies his orders and protects it despite putting himself in a dangerous position.
The main issues that some viewers will have with the show is that The Mandalorian wears his mask all the time. There’s a lack of emotional connection to someone whom you never see.
Despite that, the action, score and writing are fantastic. It’s the first time a live-action Star Wars is not related to the Skywalker saga and refreshes the brand.
Final say: Wait until you see the Child. ★★★★☆
