Horrifying due to its realism, you’ll have to remember to take a break while you’re watching the thrilling Green Room.
Punk band the Ain’t Rights receive a gig outside of Portland when their original gig is cancelled. After their show, bassist Pat (Anton Yelchin) goes back to the green room where he sees a random girl – later identified as Emily (Taylor Tunes) – has been murdered. Because they witnessed this, the band gets held hostage and must fight their way out.
The beginning of the film moves quickly, and you have to pay attention to how the story is being set up but once you understand the dynamics, it’s an intense ride. There are moments that will make you sick and you’ll constantly question motives of the characters.
Final say: Hard to follow at times, but a great delivery. ★★★☆☆
