On the fourth season of Schitt’s Creek, a major part of the focus is put on emotional development and something creators and stars Eugene and Dan Levy have going for them is that they’re constantly changing perceptions of these characters while remaining true to their original selves.
David (Dan Levy) and Patrick (Noah Reid) work on their personal relationship while continuing to run Rose Apothecary together. Alexis (Annie Murphy) is having a hard time getting over Ted (Dustin Milligan). And Johnny (Eugene Levy) and Stevie (Emily Hampshire) hire Roland (Chris Elliott) to help out at the motel.
Both David and Alexis go through major emotional changes throughout this season that help them both grow as people. Levy and Murphy both expertly portray the sentimental moments of these usually less susceptible characters.
Final say: Love is in the air. ★★★★★
