Though the plotline – like itself – has been done over and over, Palm Springs is a fresh comedy with just enough cynicism to make it feel like it could actually happen.

Nyles (Andy Samberg) is attending a wedding where his girlfriend Misty (Meredith Hagner) is a bridesmaid. He meets Maid of Honor Sarah (Cristin Milioti) and accidentally brings her into the time loop he’s stuck in where they relive the wedding day over and over.

Samberg plays a role that’s familiar to his other characters but dives in deep to emotions throughout the second half. It’s refreshing to see the male character as the hopeless romantic while the female character is determined to figure everything out.

The film does well in showing what happens to both characters while they’re apart from each other.

Final say: Watch it again and again. ★★★★★
