A decade after The L Word ended, Generation Q picks up with Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig & Leisha Haley not only reprising their roles as Bette, Shane & Alice, respectively, but producing as well.

Shane returns to LA as Bette is running for mayor. Bette’s PR Manager is Dani (Arienne Mandi), whose fiancée Sophie (Rosanny Zayas) and friend Finley (Jacqueline Toboni) work on Alice’s talk show. Dani and Sophie also live with Micah (Leo Sheng), a trans man, who falls for property manager José (Freddy Miyares).

This show is unapologetically queer and not only shows it in the lives of the younger generation, but also heavily focuses on Bette, Shane and Alice as they age. It dives into religion, gender, sex, family and friendship and allows it all to be beautifully messy.

Final say: The show on everyone’s lips. ★★★★★
