Some of the best stories are the ones that – like real life – you join in the middle of and leave before the end. Stuck in Love is exactly this kind of story in a picture-perfect indie film with an all-star cast.
Novelist Bill Borgens (Greg Kinnear) can’t get over his ex-wife Erica (Jennifer Connelly). Their daughter Samantha (Lily Collins) is publishing her first book and becoming emotionally vulnerable with Louis (Logan Lerman), while her brother Rusty (Nat Wolff) is trying to experience life.
There isn’t a story in this batch that you won’t find yourself involved in. Each character is deeply flawed in some ways, but you’ll root for each of them.
The roles are perfectly cast. The main family – Kinnear, Connelly, Collins and Wolff – connect well and feel like an actual family.
Final say: You’ll be stuck in love. ★★★★★
