The final film – and only theatrical release – of the hit Disney Channel trilogy, High School Musical 3 is the most ambitious of the series and a perfect ending.

As the Wildcats enter their senior year, everything about the future is up in the air. Troy (Zac Efron) is deciding between performing and basketball, while Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) must figure out when to say goodbye.

Because of a larger budget, this film goes bigger than the others in every way. Especially in songs like “I Want It All” and “A Night to Remember,” the choreography is stronger and the production is flashier. However, the film features too many pop ballads.

While stars Efron and Hudgens continue to be great leads with blooming chemistry, Ashley Tisdale steals every scene as the hilariously snarky and narcissistic Sharpay.

Final say: A finale to remember. ★★★★☆
