The third iteration of a Spider-Man franchise in 15 years, Sony and Marvel bring about the best version of this superhero’s story yet.
After the events of Captain America: Civil War where Peter Parker (Tom Holland) meets the Avengers as Spider-Man, he returns to being a high school student but is waiting to get a new assignment from Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). When Vulture (Michael Keaton) arises, Peter vows to take him down and save New York.
Holland is the perfect Spider-Man hands down. He looks like a teenager and plays well into Peter’s awkwardness and excitement. Alongside costars Downey Jr., Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei, he balances the humor and drama of the character keeping the story light but thrilling.
Near the end, there’s a massive plot twist that will blow your mind.
Final say: Spider-Man’s best. ★★★★★
