While there’s not much of a storyline to follow, Everybody Wants Some!! is a fantastic nostalgia piece with a stellar, connected cast and a soundtrack that’ll keep you moving.

In 1980 Texas, freshman Jake Bradford (Blake Jenner) moves into the baseball houses and gets ready for his first day of school. His upperclassmen teammates Finn (Glen Powell) and Roper (Ryan Guzman) show him the ropes as he quickly falls for fellow freshman Beverly (Zoey Deutch).

Within the first few scenes, the comedic style is set up for the rest of the film. You’ll understand what you’re in for and if it’s not your style, turn it off. But if it is, you’re getting into a great buddy film that embraces early college days and boys being boys – but not in a bad way.

Final say: Almost everybody wants some. ★★★★☆
