Bringing the classic story of holiday cheer to the stage, White Christmas is a fun way to celebrate with the whole family.
Based on the 1954 film, war buddies Bob Wallace (Sean Montgomery) and Phil Davis (Jeremy Benton) follow sisters Betty (Kerry Conte) and Judy Haynes (Kelly Sheehan) to the Columbia Inn. When they find out that the run-down inn is owned by their former General Henry Waverly (Conrad John Schuck), they put on a show to help save it.
While featuring many of the same musical numbers from the movie, the production changes the staging and switches out some for alternate Irving Berlin ones. The music flows better and allows for several long large-group numbers.
Tony Award-winner Karen Ziemba steals the show as Martha Watson in a role hilariously expanded from the film.
Final say: You’ll dream of it. ★★★★☆
