Bikini Bottom goes from TV to Broadway with this new musical that breathes new life into familiar characters.
When Mount Humongous starts to tremor, the residents of Bikini Bottom find out they only have until the end of the next day until their world ends. While others want to leave, SpongeBob (Ethan Slater) decides that he, Patrick (Danny Skinner) and Sandy (Lilli Cooper) can save their home.
The set design of this show is complex and makes you feel like you’re transported to a new world. The acting is great as well with Slater having all of the energy of his animated counterpart – down to the perfect laugh.
And the music is wonderful as well. With many different artists writing the music, there’s a great array of genres that mix well.
Final say: Absolute fun if not very deep. ★★★★☆
